Massachusetts Real Estate Salesperson License Course

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires 24 hours of approved classroom instruction prior to sitting for the real estate license exam.

The next real estate Salesperson License Course will be held beginning September 27, 2010 and runs on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday nights for 2 weeks, subject to sufficient enrollment. All classes are evenings from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. THIS WILL BE OUR LAST COURSE FOR 2010.The cost is $200.00 which includes the textbook and handouts. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2011 THE CLASSROOM HOUR REQUIREMENT WILL INCREASE FROM 24 HOURS (CURRENT) TO 40 HOURS. THE EXPECTED COST FOR THE COURSE WILL INCREASE FROM $200 (CURRENT) TO APPROXIMATELY $400. IF YOU INTEND TO BECOME LICENSED PLEASE BE AWARE OF THESE IMPORTANT CHANGES.

Massachusetts Real Estate Broker Course

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires 30 hours of classroom instruction for the Brokers Course. A prerequisite of at least a one-year apprenticeship as a Licensed Salesperson is required prior to taking the Broker exam and licensing. Cost for the course is $325, which includes the text book and handout materials.

Continuing Education

Courses for the Continuing Education requirement for licensed brokers and salesmen in Massachusetts are held on an ongoing basis and a schedule of courses is available upon request. Under Massachusetts License Laws relative to re-licensing, continuing education credits must be completed for licenses being renewed each license cycle in order to maintain an active status. A total of 12 education hours in specific real estate related topics must be taken every two years. Required courses are provided by Fontaine Real Estate School.
